I'm Angela. I love interior design, food, nutrition and wellness. I spent 15 years working in commercial interior design at a corporate head office. When I left my corporate design job I was finishing up my certification in Holistic Nutrition. The intention was for nutrition to be my next career but instead, I became so busy with freelance design work that I started my own design business, Red Brick Studio. I’ve worked with some amazing clients on projects big and small. After all those years in commercial design, I now work mostly on residential projects, although I still love working on commercial and retail projects when the opportunities come my way. I’ve worked on projects of all sizes from new home builds, residential and corporate renovations, finish selections, furniture sourcing to full project management.
I love seeing a project through the transitions from start to finish, taking the stress of decision making away from my clients by guiding them through the options to make the best choices for their homes and the way they live or work.
I’ll never regret becoming a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, because I love food, designing recipes and wellness.
My husband, daughter and I live in Calgary in a 1912 brick heritage home that’s a rare thing here! I can happily say our home is now completely renovated from top to bottom. Now onto the landscaping! You can get a peek at our main floor renovation in Avenue magazine here. We worked hard to preserve the character of our house while updating it for modern family inner city living. We live in a historic inner city neighbourhood full of shops, restaurants, bike paths and a community of characters that we love. I’m not sure we could live anywhere else in this city.
